Obituary for Wanda Harper

Wanda Louise Harper, 78, of Eatonton, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Wanda was born in Eatonton on June 27, 1945, to the late Paul and Lorene Hanson. She was a member and officer of the Central United Methodist Church and was a Homemaker and Army Wife to her late husband Jessie Raymond Harper who passed on January 16, 2023, after sixty years of marriage.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held at Central Methodist Church at 11 AM on Thursday, February 22, 2024, with internment at the church cemetery.

Wanda is survived by her son Christopher Harper (Julie Weems Harper), brother Lamar Hanson (Sylvia), sister Maxine Bruce (Larry), brother Vann Hanson, and numerous nephews and nieces. Wanda was preceded in death by her brother Robert Hanson earlier this year.

Pallbearers include Burt Dodson, Tony Grant, Greg Hanson, Justin Hanson, Clark Harper, Clyde Harper, Richard Harper, and Todd Trice.
